Penerapan SVLK pada tingkat unit
 manajemen pelaku usaha menunjukkan perkembangan yang
 signifikan dalam kurun dua tahun terakhir. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan
dilakukannya penilaian kinerja pengelolaan Hutan Produksi Lestari
pada unit pemegang ijin dengan total area sekitar 5,8 juta ha. SVLK juga telah dilakukan pada hutan alam dengan luas kurang lebih 800.000 Ha dan pada 175 unit industri pengolahan kayu. (more…)

Industri Kecil Menengah Siap Menjalani Sertifikasi Legalitas Kayu dan Mengukuhkan Diri dalam Pasar Internasional

Menteri Kehutanan Zulkifli Hasan pada Jum’at 18 November 2011 akan melakukan kunjungan lapangan ke Badung-Bali serta berdialog dengan dengan Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah (Dekranasda) Bali dan Asosiasi Pengrajin Industri Kecil (APIK) Buleleng.  Kunjungan dan dialog di Bali ini dilakukan dalam rangka melihat secara langsung kesiapan kelompok usaha industri kecil menengah untuk implementasi sertifikasi legalitas kayu.  Kunjungan lapangan dilakukan di industri UD Kasagama yang memproduksi kerajinan dan furnitur dari kayu di Dalung, Badung-Bali yang bekerjasama dengan Mitra Bali. Lima Hutan Rakyat Terima Sertifikat Legalitas Kayu

Lima kelompok usaha kelola hutan masyarakat mendapat sertifikat legalitas kayu. Kelima kelompok tersebut adalah Koperasi Comlog Giri Mukti Wana Tirta (Pekandangan-Lampung Tengah), Koperasi Wana Manunggal Lestari (Gunung Kidul-DIY), Asosiasi Pemilik Hutan Rakyat Wonosobo (Wonosobo-Jawa Tengah), Gapoktanhut Jati Mustika (Blora-Jawa Tengah), dan Koperasi Hutan Jaya Lestari (Konawe Selatan-Sulawesi Tenggara). On June 22-23, 2011, Forest Governance and Multistakeholder Forestry Program (MFP II) participated in the fourth annual international conference and workshops on “Forests, Markets, Policy and Practice” (FMP&P2011) - a prestigious event committed to advancing responsible forest management, processing and timber trade practices in China and globally. This event was hosted by the International Forestry Cooperation Center (IFCC) and Center for International Forest Products Trade (CINFT) of the Chinese State Forestry Administration, with funding from the USAID-funded Responsible Asia Forestry and Trade (RAFT) Program and the EU-supported FLEGT Asia Program. Multistakeholder Forestry Programme

Forest Governance and Multi-stakeholder Forestry Programme (MFP-II) is a collaborative program Forestry bilateral field between the Government of Indonesia with the British Government. This goal program are all traded Indonesian timber demonstrated legal, as a precondition for effective forest governance, sustainable forest management. MFP-II activities directed to achieve three main output : (1) Sufficient capacity to implement SVLK (Supply chain control, accreditation processing, auditing, independent auditing, independent monitoring, licensing and structuring implementation mechanism); (2) SVLK certified timber recognized in key international markets; (3) Representative mechanism in place to review and strengthen SVLK implementation
