Status kayu dari hutan Aceh yang selama ini kerap ditebang dan diperjualbelikan di pasaran masih menuai polemik dan masalah secara hukum. Ini karena, pemerintah belum memiliki satu standardisasi maupun aturan hukum yang jelas mengenai pemisahan antara kayu yang berstatus ilegal dengan yang legal, terutama kayu-kayu yang berasal dari tanah milik masyarakat.

The program objectives are to strengthen government and civil society partnerships at local and national levels to build capacity, empower community forest managers and develop and implement policy. In particular, the program will work to nurture and strengthen its network of Community Foundations in the regions, established with previous program support.
