The National Accreditation Commmittee (NAC)

This is an independent, government-appointed body that ensures that the auditing companies have met the required standards of proficiency and competency to carry out inspection using ISO standards. The NAC is recognized by the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC), the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

Independent Assesment  & Verification Agencies (IA & VA)

These are the auditing companies of sustainable forest management that are accredited by NAC under ISO/IEC 17021 or ISO Guide 65, to assess the forest sustainability or to verify legality using the principles, criteria & indicators approves by the Government. Monitoring or the auditors is carried out by civil society that can make complaints against companies, auditors or government through a tiered system of complaints.




Multistakeholder Forestry Programme

Forest Governance and Multi-stakeholder Forestry Programme (MFP-II) is a collaborative program Forestry bilateral field between the Government of Indonesia with the British Government. This goal program are all traded Indonesian timber demonstrated legal, as a precondition for effective forest governance, sustainable forest management. MFP-II activities directed to achieve three main output : (1) Sufficient capacity to implement SVLK (Supply chain control, accreditation processing, auditing, independent auditing, independent monitoring, licensing and structuring implementation mechanism); (2) SVLK certified timber recognized in key international markets; (3) Representative mechanism in place to review and strengthen SVLK implementation
